Tiger Woods finished a respectable third at this weekend's Deutsche Bank Championship.

But more importantly, his $544,000 winnings puts him over the $100 million mark for his career, becoming the first player to ever reach that mark on the PGA Tour.

And just how big is $100 million ($100,350,700 to be exact) on the PGA Tour? Consider this...

  • Tiger's total is 50.2% more than the second-highest total (Vijay Singh, $66.8M)
  • Only three other golfers have even earned $50 million in their careers, including Vijay Singh ($66.8M), Phil Mickelson ($66.8M), and Jim Furyk ($51.9M)
  • Tiger has averaged $1.36 million in winnings for each of his 74 career tour wins.
  • Jack Nicklaus, who has the most all-time wins in the majors (18) and is third on the all-time PGA Tour wins list (73), won just $5.7 million in his career, or just $78,548 per win.
  • Arnold Palmer, who is fifth on the all-time wins list with 62 career PGA Tour victories, had just $1.9 million in career earnings, or just $30,030 per win.

Then again, this is just tip money in Tiger's world. In 2009, Woods became the first athlete to crack the $1 billion mark in career earnings, including endorsement deals, proving that he is worth far mar off the course, than on.
